Hotel Bed-Bug
Assessment Checklist
For a hotel bed-bug assessment, prepare the room counts, observed activity and access information. Kavach agrees the treatment scope and preparation instructions before attendance; this checklist helps start that conversation.
Information to have ready
- Total guest rooms and the rooms where activity has been reported.
- Where and when observations were made, without private guest details.
- Access constraints around check-in, check-out and housekeeping.
- Whether the request is for inspection, treatment or a recurring programme.
- Any previous service record relevant to those rooms.
Use descriptions and room references to help assess the site. Do not treat a guest complaint alone as a confirmed identification or a reason to make a blanket treatment promise.
Agree preparation and room use
Kavach tells you what needs to be cleared, covered or put away for the agreed work. Do not substitute this general checklist for the instructions given for the actual treatment.
Guest-room treatment uses steam and a residual treatment over three visits.
- The per-room fee is quoted separately before work starts.
- A treated room stays out of use until we advise that it can be used again.
- Room reopening time depends on the actual treatment.
Keep housekeeping and management aligned on access and the instructions recorded for each room. Ask about follow-up and the written callback terms before booking.
Keep inspections and new treatment separate
Room Shield is a quarterly inspection programme. The room card records the inspection date and findings. An infested room found during an inspection is a separately quoted treatment job.
For a current problem, read the bed-bug treatment scope. A hotel kitchen is quoted separately under the restaurant programme.
